On Book Shopping
The best way to purchase books published by Tahanan Books is to order online through www.tahananbooks.ph. You may click on BOOKS (dropdown selection) on the site header or simply type in a category, title, author/illustrator name in the search bar.
Our titles are also available in major retail outlets (National Bookstore, Fully Booked, Robinsons Philippine Craft Section), independent shops (Mt. Cloud, The Manila Collectible Co., Yuchengco Museum, Chinatown Museum shop, etc.), online selling platforms (Lazada, Shopee), among other channels through partner distributors.
The books marked as unavailable are either completely out of stock or low in stock that may not be in mint condition. For inquiries on specific copies, you may contact either number: 0916 383 7238 or 0961 037 9700.
By default, the purchases on our website are processed through Paypal (with or without your Paypal account). Tahanan's Paypal account is under accounting@tahananbooks.com.
You may choose the Bank Deposit option if you wish to pay through a bank branch, online bank transfer, or GCash. Our GCash account is under Jocelyn Viray, 0916 383 7238. Please send a copy of the deposit slip/transaction screenshot to jocelyn@tahananbooks.com and sales@tahananbooks.com so your payment may be validated.
At the moment, most packages are shipped via 2GO. In case (a) the delivery address is outside their service area or (b) the package exceeds the size of a standard delivery pouch, it will be shipped through LBC. Under normal circumstances, shipping should be delivered within a week. But if certain restrictions are enforced enroute to the destination, we advise the shopper to coordinate closely with our Sales team for assistance on the follow ups.
Shipping in the US is processed through the United States Postal Service Media Mail and packages are expected to arrive within 2 to 10 days. you may contact reni@tahananbooks.com for concerns.
There are no set fees for shipping to other countries as they will depend on the weight and destination. Inquiries are accommodated through sales@tahananbooks.com and jocelyn@tahananbooks.com.
Please send your inquiry to hello@tahananbooks.com so we may respond with the respective forms and/or guidelines. You may also download a copy of our order form to prepare your list of books for purchase.
Our main office is at Unit 402 Cityland III Building, V.A. Rufino Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City. As a temporary precaution due to the pandemic, office hours are now limited to Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, except on holidays. Package pick ups must also be coordinated through either number: 0916 383 7238 or 0961 037 9700.
Tahanan Books is also in Seattle. Packages for the US and nearby countries will be sent from there. You may reach out to reni@tahananbooks.com for inquiries.

On Editorial Solicitations
Tahanan Books publishes children's books that celebrate Filipino life, language, and culture. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with our publications list before sending us your manuscript for review. We welcome manuscripts in both English and Filipino.
Picture book manuscripts may be emailed to our managing editor, Frances Ong, at fran@tahananbooks.com in their entirety. For longer works, we would prefer to receive an outline and a sample chapter.
Please include your CV and a cover letter with the following information: title of the work; word count; language (English, Filipino bilingual); intended reader (age group, reading level, demographic). Include a brief synopsis of your manuscript.
Please expect a response within 90 working days. Should we fail to respond within that time frame, you may send a follow up email to fran@tahananbooks.com
For illustrators, you may send your online portfolios to fran@tahananbooks.com.
On Activities & Collaborations

You may send your invitation to hello@tahananbooks.com with an overview of your activity and your proposed arrangement. Please note that the team is based in Metro Manila so travel time among other factors will be considered.
Workshops may be arranged depending on your requirement. You may send your inquiry to hello@tahananbooks.com. It would be best to give us an overview on your activity and participant profile so we can respond with managed expectations.
For media features, collaborations, or other promotional initiatives with our book creators, do coordinate with our Marketing Manager through hello@tahananbooks.com.
As long as (1) the intention does not infringe on the copyright of the book creators, (2) the purpose is non-commercial in nature, and (3) the feature only shows 30% of the book content, we can easily approve requests for features. For proper documentation, you may send your inquiry to hello@tahananbooks.com so we can respond with the permission form and also share your content on Tahanan's social media pages.
